A Fearless Woman In The Metal Industry

This week on The WAM Podcast, host, Linda Rigano is joined by Edie Comminos, the owner of Alpha Metals Recycling Company in Chicago. Edie is a fearless and self-made woman who has established herself and her company as a force with which to be reckoned! In their conversation, the ladies talk about the metal industry and how it relates to the larger economic climate, the challenges that Edie has faced in a male-dominated industry, the lessons she has learned, and how finding your way to what you want often means taking note of what you don't like.

Edie was named Woman Business Owner of the Year in 2018 in Chicago and Alpha Metals Recycling Company is a certified WBENC Women's Business Enterprise. She discusses what has changed in her work over the years and what she looks forward to in the future. For all this and more, be sure to tune in!

"A lot of what I've learned in my life is the things that I didn't want to do. And then, once in a while, you find something that you do want to do." Edie Comminos
